Driftline Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 21, 2026

Driftline is designed to limit public identity and direct user contact.

Driftline does not provide direct messaging, user profiles, followers, likes, comments, user search, or visible usernames.

  1. Driftline does not collect precise GPS location in its initial version.
  2. Driftline does not show user distance or exact location.
  3. Users manually choose a Drift Region.
  4. Driftline does not publicly display usernames, Apple IDs, emails, internal user IDs, masked account IDs, profiles, avatars, follower counts, or online status.
  5. Ordinary users cannot see who wrote a specific line.
  6. Driftline does not allow users to contact each other directly.
  7. Moderators may map a reported line to an internal account when needed for safety, support, enforcement, or abuse prevention.

When you sign in, we may collect or receive information needed to create and maintain your account, such as a Sign in with Apple identifier or other authentication identifier, email address or private relay email if provided by the sign-in provider, internal user ID, masked account reference, account creation date, login records, and account status.

We do not use this information to create a public user profile.

Driftline does not collect precise GPS location in the initial version.

Users manually choose a Drift Region, such as Region / State or Province / Area / Neighborhood.

This selected Drift Region may be stored and used to route vessels, show vessels in a selected current, support Far Current or Home Current gameplay, and display a vessel's drift history.

A selected Drift Region is not necessarily your real location.

  1. Vessels you start.
  2. Lines you compose and release.
  3. Vessel names created through official word banks.
  4. Drift duration, line limits, vessel state, path state, archive state, and featured state.
  5. Voice labels within a vessel, such as First Voice, Second Voice, Third Voice, or Last Voice.
  6. Timestamps related to catching, holding, sealing, releasing, completing, archiving, or featuring vessels.
  7. Word packs, skins, or other digital items used in gameplay.

Ordinary users do not see the internal account behind a line. However, our systems may keep internal records connecting a line to an account for safety, moderation, support, abuse prevention, and legal compliance.

  1. Purchase history.
  2. Product identifiers.
  3. Coin balance.
  4. Owned vessel skins, word packs, cosmetic effects, paper textures, release animations, archive frames, or other digital items.
  5. App Store transaction identifiers or receipt-related information.
  6. Refund, restore, support, correction, or compensation records.

Payment processing is handled by Apple or the applicable app platform. We do not receive your full payment card details from Apple.

  1. Reported line.
  2. Vessel context.
  3. Report reason.
  4. Reporter internal account.
  5. Reported contributor internal account.
  6. Review status, such as Reviewing or Solved.
  7. Moderation action logs.
  8. Safety notes, enforcement history, and appeal or support communications, if any.

Ordinary users cannot see the identity of the person who wrote a reported line. Authorized moderators may access internal account mappings when necessary.

If you contact us for help, we may collect your message and contact information, account reference or masked account ID, purchase or receipt details needed to resolve the issue, and device, app version, or diagnostic details you provide.

We may collect device type, operating system version, app version, language settings, crash logs, performance diagnostics, approximate technical information such as IP address, server logs, security logs, request timestamps, and fraud prevention or abuse prevention signals.

  1. Apple ID.
  2. Email address.
  3. Internal user ID.
  4. Masked account ID.
  5. Public username.
  6. Profile page.
  7. Avatar.
  8. Follower count.
  9. Online status.
  10. Exact location.
  11. Distance between users.
  12. The identity of a line's author to ordinary users.

Driftline does not request or collect precise GPS location in the initial version. It does not use CoreLocation for nearby-user matching, does not show distances, and does not display exact addresses.

However, your manually selected Drift Region may be stored and used for vessel routing and drift history. For this reason, we do not describe Driftline as collecting no location-related information at all.

  1. Provide and operate Driftline.
  2. Authenticate users and maintain accounts.
  3. Route vessels through Home Current, Far Current, selected Drift Regions, or other gameplay systems.
  4. Allow users to start vessels, tune lines, seal lines, release vessels, archive stories, and view featured stories.
  5. Maintain coin balances, owned items, word packs, skins, and purchase entitlements.
  6. Process restore purchases and purchase support.
  7. Detect, investigate, prevent, and respond to abuse, fraud, cheating, prohibited content, and security incidents.
  8. Review reports and perform human moderation.
  9. Enforce our Terms of Use and product rules.
  10. Provide customer support.
  11. Improve the Service, fix bugs, analyze performance, and develop new features.
  12. Comply with legal, tax, accounting, consumer protection, App Store, and safety obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share information with vendors and service providers who help us operate the Service, such as hosting providers, authentication providers, database services, analytics or diagnostics providers, customer support tools, moderation tools, and security providers.

If you use Sign in with Apple, App Store purchases, restore purchases, refunds, or other Apple services, Apple may process information according to Apple's own terms and privacy policies.

We may disclose information if we believe it is necessary to comply with law, legal process, regulatory requests, court orders, tax or accounting obligations, App Store requirements, or to protect rights, safety, users, the public, or the integrity of the Service.

Driftline is built around collaborative story vessels. When you release a line or vessel, it may become part of a shared path that other users can read, continue, archive, or see if featured.

Ordinary users will not see your public identity because Driftline does not display a public username or profile. However, your contribution may remain part of a vessel or archive as a line or path-local voice label.

Because stories are collaborative, we may preserve published content in anonymized or context-preserving form even if your account is later deleted, unless applicable law requires a different approach.

We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the Service, maintain account and purchase records, support users, moderate content, prevent abuse, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our Terms.

Retention periods may vary depending on the type of data. Purchase and transaction records may be kept for accounting, tax, App Store, refund, fraud prevention, and support purposes. Moderation and safety records may be kept to prevent repeat abuse and protect the Service. Published collaborative content may be retained in anonymized or account-detached form to preserve completed vessels and archives.

You may request or initiate account deletion through the app where required.

After account deletion, we will delete or anonymize account data that is no longer needed, such as your authentication linkage, selected Drift Region, local account state, drafts, coin ledger, owned items, purchase entitlements, and other account-associated records, unless we are required or permitted to retain certain information.

We may retain limited information where necessary for legal, tax, accounting, audit, App Store transaction, refund, purchase verification, fraud prevention, security, moderation history, safety enforcement, abuse prevention, dispute resolution, legal claims, or preservation of published collaborative stories in anonymized or account-detached form.

Deleting your account may be irreversible and may result in loss of access to coins, purchased or earned items, drafts, settings, and account history, except where restoration is required or supported by platform rules.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. However, no system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Driftline is not intended for children below the minimum age required by applicable law or platform rules. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child without appropriate consent where consent is required, we will take reasonable steps to delete or limit that information.

Your information may be processed and stored in countries or regions other than where you live. Where required, we will use appropriate safeguards for cross-border data transfers.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access personal information we hold about you, correct inaccurate information, delete your account or request deletion of certain information, object to or restrict certain processing, request a copy of certain information, withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, or complain to a data protection authority.

To exercise rights, contact us at contact@actsyncgames.com. We may need to verify your account before fulfilling a request.

Some information may be retained where permitted or required by law, such as transaction records, fraud prevention records, moderation records, security logs, or anonymized collaborative content.

Driftline may ask for permission to send notifications, such as vessel updates, system notices, purchase-related notices, moderation notices, or featured-story notices. You can control push notifications through your device settings.

We may use analytics and diagnostics to understand app performance, crashes, feature usage, and service quality. We will avoid using analytics in a way that turns Driftline into a public social tracking system or user-to-user identity system.

If we introduce new analytics, advertising, or tracking technologies that materially change our data practices, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any required notices or choices.

We do not sell personal information. We do not provide public user profiles, direct messaging, follower graphs, or user search tools for advertisers or other users.

If our practices change in a way that requires additional disclosures or opt-out rights under applicable privacy laws, we will update this Privacy Policy.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice through the app, website, App Store listing, email, or another reasonable method.

If you have questions, requests, or complaints about this Privacy Policy or our privacy practices, contact ActSync Games at contact@actsyncgames.com.
